There is no substitute for hard work. As young people, you might as well adjust to this reality. Sure there are those who will cut corners and take short cuts, but these people’s incompetence usually surfaces during critical moments. There is also the consideration that you must live with yourself. Living with the knowledge that you are well equipped and prepared, because of your diligence and hard work, will make living much more enjoyable. As a wise person tells us, “Knowledge is it own reward.” As the Eastside Prep motto tells us, “Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est.”
